Making a donation to the Wesley

If you would like to donate any items to the Wesley, please call our transport office on 0161 226 9051 during opening hours to arrange for one of our vans to come and collect from you throughout the Manchester area.

We accept donations of furniture, domestic applicances, household goods, bricabrac and clothing from individuals and companies.

We can only take items that are in a re-saleable/reusable condition, and, unfortunately, we cannot process gas appliances, computer equipment (see our links page), or TVs (traditional Cathode Ray Tube models). If you have soft furnishings to donate please first check to see if the item has a 1988 Fire Retardant Fabrics regulation tag- usually on sofas and armchairs this can be found under the cushions or on the underside. We cannot take soft furnishings without this tag as the law prohibits the sale of non fire retardant soft funishings.

If you have bulky items that we cannot take then your local council can dispose of them for you- details of how to contact your council can be found on our links page. Some councils may charge for this service.

Please note - if you need us to collect items from you please be aware that we are currently booked up 3-4 days in advance due to high demand and limited resources. You can also drop off donations to our main shop during opening hours 9.30-3.30pm, Monday to Friday (but otherwise please don't leave things outside!).

If you would like to make a cash donation to help the charity with it's work, you can either:

- donate money online using Charity Choice (includes Gift Aid so that for every pound you donate we can claim back an additional 28p) by clicking here-

Click here to make a donation!

- donate money by post or in person to us. To Gift Aid this then please click here to download our simple Gift Aid form.

- ask your employer/payroll department about Payroll Giving.

The Wesley appreciates any donations that help us carry out our work, however big or small.
