Joblot Homestarter Packages-
Our joblot homestarter packages contain some of the basics needed to live independently. They are even cheaper than buying the items individually. Typically a joblot homestarter package will contain a bed, wardrobe, sofa, drawers etc., depending on the needs of the individual.
If you (or someone you know) have been turned down for the larger Department of Employment grant (c.£1500) and you are in great need of furniture and/or household goods, we should be able to help.
Even if you have already received a Community Care Grant of £250 we can still help you.
All we need is a letter of referral from someone from an organisation that helps you or represents you.
We have accepted letters from law centres, social services, dept of Employment, housing associations, and groups that help people in the community that are in need (like refugee projects, groups that support families, homeless projects etc). In that letter it must state that you cannot get a grant but are in real need. For a Referral Letter Template for referring organisations click here to download.
Then you can either get a joblot homestarter package that we select for you out of what we have in stock, or you can come to the main shop and pick items up yourself. Depending on the number and quality of items this should cost you £50-£80 which includes free delivery.
