Welcome to the Wesley Community Furniture website.
The Wesley supplies furniture, domestic appliances, household goods and clothing at the lowest possible prices to those in greatest need from all over the City of Manchester.
Our vans can collect donations of most household items city wide. These are then sorted, stored and sold from our shops and delivered (free of charge) to those in need.
Most of the work of the project is carried out by volunteers, and all money we make is used so that we can provide the service.
The Wesley and it's work was recently the subject of an exhibition of ceramics and photography by CJ O'Neill and Lee Garland at the Manchester Metropolitan University Special Exhibitions Gallery. The auction of works created for the exhibition raised over £2,000 towards a new van, and the collaboration produced some interesting and attractive work, as well as helping to establish a new template for artists working with the Voluntary/Community/Charity sector.
The Wesley would like to thank CJ O'Neill, Lee Garland, the inimitable Eric Knowles, Jane Hunt and the rest of the team at MMU Special Collections for their hard work in making the Wesley Meets Art exhibition and auction such a success.
